Would You Rather: Questions 81-90

81. Would you rather be 4'5" or 7'7"?

I would prefer to be 7'7". On this weird spectrum, I'm already used to being taller than the average person. I can deal with the extreme height. It'll be nice to play some pick up basketball.

82. Would you rather be tall and fat, or short and well built?

Tall and fat. I can always lose the weight. Plus, short and jacked dudes often have to fight the stigma of being jerks on first appearance.

83. Would you rather be poor and work at a job you love, or rich and a job you hate?

Poor and work at a job you love. Take it from someone who has their dream job, the sense of purpose and peace of mind is indeed worth much.

84. Would you rather go through life unable to answer any questions, or unable to ask any questions?

I would hate to not be able to ask any questions. After all, that is literally what I do everyday. Life doesn't always give us the answers, and sometimes, there are no answers. But for me, pondering these mysteries are what make this race called life so wonderful. Sounds cheesy, but eh, sue me.

85. Would you rather be only able to whisper or shout everything you speak?

Whisper. I really don't like attention. And honestly, we all know that one person who doesn't have volume control over their voice. No one likes that person. Especially, in public places.

86. Would you rather go without the internet or without your car for a month?

I live in New York City. While I love my car. I can get by without a car for a month. Now the internet, probably not. Can anyone in today's world?

Weird, though - this question now has me thinking - is the internet more valuable to us that having access to a car? Holy crap. Times sure have changed.

87. Would you rather sit all day or stand all day?

Stand all day. I despise sitting all day. Again, It's why I love my job. I don't like office days though - blah.

88. Would you rather go to jail for one year, or live in your car for one year?

I've read way too many books on prison, and memoirs of prisoners. NO THANK YOU on any prison option. I'll live in my car.

89. Would you rather be stuck in a state-of-the-art facility with someone you hate, or stuck in your own house alone?

Stuck in my house alone. No facility is worth the annoyance to come with that situation.

90. Would you rather be a genius in a world of morons, or a moron in a world of geniuses?

Wow. This is a REALLY good question. I'm seriously torn. Talk about a philosophical tug-of-war here. I am going to go with a genius in a world of morons. They won't know you're a genius though, that's the tragedy.

Sante Fe Thoughts, and More Tired Thoughts on School Shootings

It was too similar to Columbine for me. I still remember as a 13 year old staying home from school sick, then suddenly finding my being sobering up on all illnesses watching in horror that unfolded in Colorado.
Yesterday, I was home from work, and thus did the same thing. Glued to the couch. Flipping between channels. Refreshing my Twitter feed. Trying to find out details in horror. Once again shocked, angered, frustrated, and saddened.
We now live in an America where 22 school shootings have occurred in 2018 - a calendar year still young in it's existence. Seriously, let that sink in. And if it take a moment to wrap your head around it, that's because its absurd, and it's also so engrained in our culture, in our everyday realm of societal possibility. School shootings? Wow - unbelievable.

Sunday Sundown Rundown - 5/20/18

3 Up
1. JJ Watt - Watt is just a stand-up guy. No other way to say it. An athlete that embraces the city he plays in, in times of good, and when he is needed. Paying for the funerals of all of the victims in the latest school shooting is just another example of the kind of dude Watt really is. So much props.
2. Sante Fe Admins - So many times in these shootings, the efforts and bravery of the many who help to keep students safe, calm, and diffuse the situation often goes without praise and notice. Once again, much love and praise to those who did so once again. And yes, to those who lost their lives doing so as well.
3. Las Vegas Golden Knights - In their inaugural season, the Golden Knights are in the Stanley Cup Finals, and quite frankly, could possibly win the whole damn thing. It's so impressive, and speaks to the parity of the NHL. But really, if you're a fan of a team currently in a drought (say, like my New York Knicks?), this run is absolutely remarkable.

The Pondering 10 - Issues/Annoyances with College Basketball Product

Following the month of March and all of the madness that comes with it during the NCAA Tournament, the product that is college basketball has been an issue. It is no secret to most, and to the very denial of die hard college basketball fans, the overall quality has taken a step back. Recently, College basketball ambassador and analyst, Jay Bilas, gave his honest opinion on the state of college basketball, and believes it has been poor the last three seasons. As a fan of the overall sport, I do watch college basketball, but am more invested and interested in the NBA. After receiving much backlash on twitter and here at the DP, I've decided to turn my reasoning for not being interested in the college product into the latest Pondering 10 list.

The Pondering 10 - Favorite MLB Uniforms

Unlike most sports, baseball uniforms carry a lot of tradition and history. It's rare that you see baseball teams deviate away from the history of a club, and if they do, it's usually an ownership change. For the most part, in baseball, the uniforms are sacred. Because of that, Major League Baseball has many teams with uniforms that are very, very significant, and also, very stylish. As we did for the NFL (Pondering 10 - Favorite NFL Uniforms), the following Pondering 10 will take a look at my favorite MLB uniforms.
