Dome Pondering Movie Review: Deadpool (2016)

What is it about?
A mercenary stricken with cancer, turns to an alternative rogue experiment that leaves him with the special powers of accelerated healing powers, thus adopting the alter ego of Deadpool.

Who is in it?

Ryan Reynolds - Deadpool

Morena Baccarin - Vanessa

Ed Skrein - Ajax

TJ Miller - Weasel

Favorite Scene:

While chasing fighting off bad guys, Deadpool is left with only 12 bullets to fight off the entire brigade. He begins an interesting and humorous way of counting off the bullets used while escaping the situation. The visual of the bullets are also very cool.

Favorite Quote:

Deadpool: LOOK! Im a teenage girl, I'd rather be anywhere than here! I'm all about long sullen silences, followed by mean comments, followed by more silence! So what's it gonna be, long sullen silence, or mean comment? Go on, take your pick.
Negasonic Teenage Warhead: ...You got me in a box here.
Deadpool: AH-HAA!

Review:

Deadpool is absolutely fantastic. Just a fun, enjoyable, entertaining watch that blends many elements of humor, enticing visuals, and the unique breaking of the fourth wall in several instances. Again, I cannot say enough about how engaged you will be as a viewer of Deadpool.

Of course, there is the hot topic of a "Super Hero" movie being Rated R. I for one will say that I don't necessarily think most films need to be that of an R-rating. It works for Deadpool, and part of that element adds to the specialty of the film.

Ryan Reynolds really was fantastic in the role, a zone of being the overly sarcastic and humorous inidivudal he often pulls off so well. Again, my favorite part of this film is in fact the visual and art of storytelling that is the plot as it bounces from past to present. So well done.

All in all, Deadpool is a very good watch. Certainly very recommended

2013 Bucket List - #29 Attend Wrestlemania

It only took me twenty eight years and twenty-nine events, but I finally (finally!!) made it to Wrestlemania. I've attended so many wrestling events in my lifetime, from small local shows to pay-per-view events, from small local promotions, to the global companies, but never had I gone to the big one - Wrestlemania.
Upon hearing the huge event was returning to the metropolitan area at Met Life stadium, I knew I had to attend. As soon as tickets went on pre-sale, I purchased them...way back in November. I knew, if not now, then when? If not this year, then probably never. Some might not understand the importance of it, but to crazy wrestling addicts like myself, this is the show. And while it wasn't on the 2013 Bucket List, this was on my absolute lifetime list, and this past Sunday, I placed a big fat check mark next to it. The following is a little review of my Wrestlemania 29 experience, live!

Sunday Sundown Rundown - 11/19/18

3 Up

1. Caris Levert Injury - Sure, it looked nasty (and felt downright sad) at first, but the diagnosis, fortunately, was just a dislocation. If you saw the injury, it's pretty hard to imagine that Levert will be back this year, but he will be. And after watching him ball for the Nets thus far this season, that's good to hear.

2. Mauro Ranallo - I'm throwing Ranallo some love this week. NXT Takeover was absolutely fantastic this weekend. And really, so was Survivor Series - the WWE killed it. But damn, Ranallo makes NXT so exciting. His energy as an announcer is so infectious, and it's what pro wrestling has missed since the days of Jim Ross. The guy is just the best.

3. Patriot Act - I started watching Hasan Minhaj's Patriot Act show on Netflix this week, and it's an awesome show. Politics. Comedy. Culture. Comedy. Relatable. Comedy. But most importantly, so informative and so profound, on so many topics. Good stuff. I was a fan since seeing his days on The D…

The Pondering 10 - Favorite MLB Uniforms

Unlike most sports, baseball uniforms carry a lot of tradition and history. It's rare that you see baseball teams deviate away from the history of a club, and if they do, it's usually an ownership change. For the most part, in baseball, the uniforms are sacred. Because of that, Major League Baseball has many teams with uniforms that are very, very significant, and also, very stylish. As we did for the NFL (Pondering 10 - Favorite NFL Uniforms), the following Pondering 10 will take a look at my favorite MLB uniforms.

The Pondering 10 - All-Time Favorite Championship Belts

With the WWE finally moving on from the ridiculousness that was the appearance of the WWE championship (Really, they kept a spinning title for eight years), and of course the unveiling the look of the title, it got the wheels turning on the best looks for championship belts. From pro wrestling, boxing (although, don't expect to see any on this list as they are usually ugly), and mixed martial arts, there are plenty of different models, types, and appearances that come with them. The following Pondering 10 list is my favorite all-time championship belts.
