2016 Bucket List - #1 Watch LeBron James Play Live

"I'm here for LeBron!"

"Yeah, so are we"

It was the brief exchange I had with a couple of Knicks fans as we briefly intersected one another's vicinity. After all, LeBron James is the type of athlete, the type of star, the type of talent that would draw anyone to watch him live against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center. Even fans of the crosstown Knicks - who by the way were playing across the river at the same time.

Regardless, again, we're talking about LeBron James here. And seeing him live was something I very much wanted to do at least once in my life. Especially, before age sets in and his super talents begin to knock him back down to earth. A thought that really feels very difficult to imagine will happen, and can happen.

Nonetheless, LeBron is worth the price of admission. Even to blow off watching your favorite team in the World's Most Famous Arena, or simply from the seat and comfort of your own couch. From his pre-game warm ups and dunks, to the moment your heart stops, your eyes widen, and your jaw drops as he breaks away for one of his signature tomahawk jams, it all is worth it.

And yes, those dunks, those spectacular so-awesome dunks? Yeah, he had three of them in the first quarter against the Nets putrid defense. It was thrilling. Absolutely, thrilling.

And then of course, there were the moments of him making passes that even live you didn't see on the court. The guy is tremendously special. Seeing LeBron live really adds an element of appreciation for his game that TV sometimes doesn't.

I'm glad I had that chance. And if you're a basketball fan, you should definitely seek that opportunity. It's not only worth it, but it'll definitely give you a whole new perspective on LeBron...one that you wouldn't understand until you do so.

Sunday Sundown Rundown - 4/22/18

3 Up
1. Tammie Jo Shults - Kudos to the captain of the Southwest aircraft that blew an engine. Shults was able to land the plane safely with busted engine, thus minimizing the fatality of the fiasco to just the one person who unfortunately was sucked out of a window. So crazy. All of it, so incredible.
1a. Southwest In-Flight Crew - More kudos to TJS's staff who not only pulled a woman being sucked out of a plane back into the aircraft, but managed to keep everyone onboard safe and poised during the emergency.
2. James Shaw Jr. - There were even more heroes this week as James Shaw Jr. wrestled a rifle away from a madman who rushed a Waffle House in Tennessee and opened up fire. Took lots of guts, but Shaw saved countless lives.
3. LeBron James - I don't understand how any sports fan can say anything about LeBron James. The dude once again is carrying a rather dubious contending roster on his back during these playoffs.

Sunday Sundown Rundown - 4/15/18

3 Up
1. Bartolo Colon - Mannnnnnnn, this dude at 44 years old and at who knows how many pounds overweight, almost threw a perfect game against the defending World Series Champions on National television. Bartolo, don't you ever change.
2. Beyonce - I probably could just leave this "UP" as just "Beyonce", and really, most wouldn't even bat an eye at it. Regardless, she earned it this week, slaying as always. Beyonce killed it at Coachella with some awesome performances, reuniting with Destiny's Child, and of course, making history as the first black woman to headline the festival.
3. New York Mets - Even this Yankees fan has to give it up to the Mets and their hot start. They are playing some fun baseball, and well, it's backed by those big arms they need to rely on. Kudos to the Amazin's!

1. Philadelphia Starbucks - For those who don't understand "white privilege", here is an example of the opposite - two black men waiting…

2013 Bucket List - #29 Attend Wrestlemania

It only took me twenty eight years and twenty-nine events, but I finally (finally!!) made it to Wrestlemania. I've attended so many wrestling events in my lifetime, from small local shows to pay-per-view events, from small local promotions, to the global companies, but never had I gone to the big one - Wrestlemania.
Upon hearing the huge event was returning to the metropolitan area at Met Life stadium, I knew I had to attend. As soon as tickets went on pre-sale, I purchased them...way back in November. I knew, if not now, then when? If not this year, then probably never. Some might not understand the importance of it, but to crazy wrestling addicts like myself, this is the show. And while it wasn't on the 2013 Bucket List, this was on my absolute lifetime list, and this past Sunday, I placed a big fat check mark next to it. The following is a little review of my Wrestlemania 29 experience, live!

The Pondering 10 - Favorite MLB Uniforms

Unlike most sports, baseball uniforms carry a lot of tradition and history. It's rare that you see baseball teams deviate away from the history of a club, and if they do, it's usually an ownership change. For the most part, in baseball, the uniforms are sacred. Because of that, Major League Baseball has many teams with uniforms that are very, very significant, and also, very stylish. As we did for the NFL (Pondering 10 - Favorite NFL Uniforms), the following Pondering 10 will take a look at my favorite MLB uniforms.
