Dome Pondering Import - Mark Cuban On ESPN First Take

Thank you! Thank so much Mr. Cuban! I completely agree with Mark Cuban's recent position on ESPN's First Take where he pretty much confronted all basketball "analysts" and media, specifically, the utterly ignorant and annoying, Skip Bayless for their absurd comments and statements in evaluating games and situations.

Bayless, who has bascially earned his fame through idiotic comments that are against the grain, was publically embarrassed by Cuban for his lack of knowledge when it comes to his comments, especially his overly arrogant and shallow comments when it comes to LeBron James.

Those of us who root against the Miami Heat, have given our reasons for the anti-James position. However, overall, there is a tremendous amount of respect there. Yet, Bayless continues his idiotic comments against the newly crowned NBA Finals MVP.

Without getting too much on Bayless, there are others out there who do the same, and offer comments that are downright fickle. Anyone remember Chris Broussard claiming the Heat would dominate the next few years? Then when they were down 3-2 to the Boston Celtics, Broussard stated they needed to break the Heat up as this team will not get it done. And of course, now, he's proclaiming LeBron James is set up to win the next three years.

Eye roll.

And of course my favorite - all of the so-called analysts that bashed the Knicks during the Carmelo Anthony trade negotiations when the trade was in limbo stating the deal was a no-brainer. Now they are the same folks claiming that Anthony can't co-exist with Stoudemire.

And to be honest, a lot of it is dished out by ESPN, whose analysis, feedback, and overall evluation of any subject is downright insulting, or plain annoying. These days, ESPN has become more yellow journalism than the actual "world-wide leader of sports" they claim to be.

Once again, Thank Mr. Cuban for saying what so many of us have felt for so long. And thank you for delivering the line of the year (possible new DP award?), "You have a presumption, people care what you say. They don't".

Awesome.

DP Review of the Alternate Knicks Orange Jersey

One of the good aspects about having a blog and being truthful and honest about it, is the hindsight thought process it provides. DP devotees already know how much I love my New York Knicks, and how excited I was about their new jerseys last year. It was a new look that was desperately needed ( DP Review On Knicks New Uniforms ).  In reviewing those jerseys last year, I had the following comments in regards to then-rumors regarding the addition of an alternative orange jersey for the Knicks and overall NBA changes to the Christmas Day special jerseys:  "As long as we do not add an "alternative jersey" (I read rumors of an orange one - woof!) (and the league-wide Spanish jerseys are fine). And please, please - PLEASE - let's finally do away with the awful green jerseys we feel the need to wear on Christmas and St. Patrick's day! Pretty please!"

WWE Wrestlemania XL Review: "I absolutely loved this Wrestlemania"

It's easy to get caught up and become a prisoner of the moment. Especially in today's world where the latest moment is ostracized, super-analyzed, and hyperbolized - it's very much the clickbait, social media, microwave society we live in.  Yet, even after acknowledging that (as well as my Tribal Chief, of course), I still come to this feeling that Wrestlemania XL is one of the best Wrestlemania's, ever.  Yes, ever!  I don't need Triple H's metrics and benchmarks to influence me. No, no, no! In terms of hype, storylines, payoffs, match quality, and just overall fun - this entire weekend was amazing.  I'm slightly skewed in my preference as well. This was my son's first Wrestlemania as a pro wrestling fan. Having him at my side cheering on his favorites, getting caught up in the drama, and even crying at the end of the night because his Tribal Chief lost to "that no good Cody" added to the overall appreciation of the event.  So yeah, I have some
