On May 9th, 2010, Dallas Braden became the 19th pitcher in Major League Baseball history to pitch a perfect game. Braden, the most unlikely pitcher to ever throw a perfect game (24th Round draft pick), needed just 107 pitches (6 Strikeouts) of flawless pitching to put away the team with the best team in the league, and victim of a perfect game for the second year in a row (Mark Buehrle’s Perfect Game), the Tampa Bay Rays.
After his altercation with Alex Rodriguez over the “center of the universe” when Rodriguez crossed “his mound”, Braden not only can have his name attached to something more credible and worthy, but in the record books of baseball lore forever.
